This CD was recorded in the gorgeous acoustic of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Belvedere, California with soprano, Marguerite Krull and a band of ince=redible instrumentalists, including David Wilson, violin, Katie Kyme, violin, David Daniel Bowes, viola, Paul Hale, cello, Roy Wheldon, bass, and Bradley Broolshire, harpsichord and organ.
Pergolesi's famous setting of Stabat Mater depicting Mary as she witnesses her son on the cross and Campra's joyous and heartfult settings of Psalms 100 and 42 contain some of the most sublime sacred baroque music in the repertoire.

In addition to this CD, Christopher Fritzsche can be heard on well over a dozen recordings on Warner Classics' Teldec label. From 1992-2003 he performed with the world- renowned a capella vocal ensemble, Chanticleer. In those 11 years he sang over 1000 concerts world-wide, appearing with the New York Philharmoic, the Atlanta Symphony, and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and he participated in and helped to lead numerous vocal workshops for singers of all levels. He has also appeared with the Grants Pass Music Festival Orchestra in Chicago as soloist in Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, and as a member of Chanticleer, earned two Grammy awards for the CDs Colors of Love and Lamentations and Praises by the celebrated British composer, Sir John Tavener. He served on the vocal faculty of his alma mater, Sonoma State University, from 2004-2009, and developed and continues teaching classes for the Sonoma County Bach Society. He is a member of the men's vocal ensemble, Clerestory, and the Music Director for the Center for Spiritual Living in Santa Rosa, California.
